DCB welcomes Carolyn Rygg, Athletic Trainer to campus. Carolyn grew up in St. Thomas, ND before her family moved to Mayville, ND where she graduated from May-Port CG High School. Carolyn is a certified and licensed athletic trainer. She is an employee of Trinity Health of Minot.

DCB Offers NEW Human Resource Management Program

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the human resources field are expected to grow, not only in human resource management, but human resource specialists. According to the ND Workforce Intelligence Network reports between 2012-2022, the number of human resource specialist is expected to grow by 10.9%. Human resource specialists are needed to handle the increasingly complex employment laws, healthcare coverage options, facilitate employee communication, manage human resource records, administer employee compensation and benefit plans, recruit, orientate new employees, and serve as a link between management and employees.

DCB Receives RCS Award

Dakota College at Bottineau recently received a grant award from Farm Credit Services of North Dakota. DCB is the recipient of the Pat-NOW Community Fund (PNCF) in the amount of $5,000.00. The grant funds will help fund training for students on unmanned aircraft as part of the college’s new agriculture program.

Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) has the only Photography program within the State of North Dakota. Students are ready to start within the photography business after graduation. Leslie Ostreim, a 2016 graduate of the DCB program is a testament to the DCB Photography program. The Cobblestone Inn, Bottineau will showcase her work in June.

Dakota College at Bottineau in Bottineau, ND, has recently been recommended to receive a $4,000 grant from the North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (NCR-SARE) for the project, "Sustainable AG Day: Sustainable Agriculture Promotion and Education Day for Middle School Students in Mid-Central North Dakota." "We will educate school students about sustainable agriculture through sustainable food production, environmental stewardship, community development, and marketing," said Indrani Sasmal, DCB Grant Writer.

DCB Receives ND Natural Resources Trust Grant

Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) in Bottineau, ND, has recently been awarded a $4,500 grant from the ND Natural Resources Trust Department. for the project, Natural Resource Conservation Education and Awareness for 8-12 Teachers and Students. Natural Resource Conservation is an essential component of good environmental stewardship. Effective conservation will involve educating the public, mainly the youth about issues related to natural resources and natural resource management. As a two-year college offering 33 Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, DCB will design and deliver the environmental education for schoolteachers.

Campus Nurse, Susan Indvik has been named an Ambassador to the Stop the Bleed Campaign. The Campaign is aiming to train more than 200 million people in the US and more across the globe, so they can be empowered to Stop the Bleed if tragedy strikes.

DCB Graduates 33 AAS Nurse Students

The Dakota Nursing program at Dakota College at Bottineau will pin twenty-eight Associate in Applied Science Nurse graduates on Friday, May 10, 2019. Dakota College at Bottineau’s practicum is a member of the Dakota Nursing Program, a consortium of four community college nursing departments which work together to offer a common curriculum for a Practical Nursing Certificate and for an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing.
