Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is excited to host the Northeast Regional Science Olympiad on campus April 9, 2026. The event will welcome area teams competing for the opportunity to advance to the North Dakota State Science Olympiad competition.

Participating schools will field teams in two divisions: Division B, primarily for junior high students, and Division C, for high school students. Currently, seven Division B teams and ten Division C teams are registered to compete. Schools registered for this year’s regional competition include Cavalier, Drake-Anamoose, Langdon, MLS-Mohall, Rolla, Rugby, Surrey, TGU-Granville, and TGU-Towner.

Throughout the day, these teams will compete in a variety of hands-on events covering biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, and engineering. These challenges are designed to foster collaboration, strengthen critical thinking and study skills, and inspire continued interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers.

Regional winners will advance to the state competition, which will be held on April 25, 2026, at North Dakota State University.

Join DCB on Thursday, April 9 as area students compete on campus.
