Dual Credit DUO Bypass

All Dakota College students are required to use DUO Mobile Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to protect their NDUS account. With the bell-to-bell law enacted barring the use of smartphones in K-12 institutions, this does create a problem with dual credit enrolled students trying to access their NDUS account while at school. With the assistance of CTS, we have implemented a DUO Bypass for dual credit students that attempt to access their NDUS account at school.

There are three requirements that need to be met for this bypass to work correctly. 

  • The student has be identified as a dual credit student in the system (EFE Flag)
  • The student has to be accessing their NDUS account from a school's network (Stagenet IP addresses)
  • The student needs to be using these NDUS direct links
