Dakota College at Bottineau is excited to announce they are serving coffee with their name on it, Jacks Lumberbrew. Trudy Marum, owner of Metigoshe Coffee House approached Dakota College last summer with the opportunity. Her coffee distributor, ND Coffee Roastery out of Grand Forks, ND provides colleges and universities a tasting to choose a coffee bean, name the blend and design a bag for their campus. A portion of the sale from each bag will go back to students enrolled at Dakota College. When asked about the coffee, Trudy shared that she wanted to support our local institution, “It's important to me and this community that the student enrollment at DCB continues to grow, and by helping to support the scholarship fund is one of the many ways our business can help. Coffee brings people together, and the joy increases when you know that a purchase of a bag of Jacks Lumberbrew coffee beans serves a purpose and tastes great. Our Grand Forks roaster was the inspiration behind this project and made the process so enjoyable to share with the DCB brew crew. I am very excited about this new product launch”.

The Jacks Lumberbrew blend is a combination of light and dark beans with a cocoa, nutty and fruity blend. Join Dakota College for a pre-game tasting event on Monday, November 14th at 4:00 pm. The Ladyjacks take on Jamestown JV at 5:30 pm followed by the Lumberjacks that same evening.  Samples will be available throughout the evening in front of the Woodshed. Try a Lumberbrew and then head to the DCB Bookstore to pick up your favorite bag of ground or whole beans.
