Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is proud to share the latest professional milestone achieved by Paige Baade, DNP, RN, Assistant Dean for Nursing and Health Professions, Associate Professor.

Dr. Paige Baade’s tenure with DCB began as a nursing instructor at the Valley City campus in 2018. In December 2019, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing Education, completing a meaningful capstone project. She relocated to Bottineau in 2021, accepting a leadership role as DCB’s Director of Nursing, and later as Assistant Dean for Nursing and Health Professions in 2024. This past summer, Dr. Baade completed her Doctorate in Nursing following this achievement with a publication in the Official Journal of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN).

Dr. Baade’s publication “Self-care: A beneficial intervention for nursing faculty” addresses faculty burnout as an urgent concern affecting job satisfaction, well-being, and the quality of nursing education. Her study evaluated full-time faculty across an associate degree nursing program consortium using a pre-test and post-test. The article outlines key findings and practical solutions that may influence perceptions.

Corey Gorder, Campus Dean, notes, “Dakota College at Bottineau is fortunate to have Paige and all her expertise leading our nursing and healthcare professions. I am also happy to support and work alongside her as we continue to grow health professions in the future”.
