Since 1982, the Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) Alumni Association has hosted an Awards Recognition banquet that honors alumni and the supportive community. The DCB Alumni Association accepts nominations for the Golden Service, Friend of the College, and Young Alumnus awards, which are awarded annually. The 2026 Alumni Association recipients will be celebrated at the Banquet on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in a semi-private event at the DCB campus.

The Young Alumnus Award recipient must have attended Dakota College at Bottineau within the last 15 years, be successful and show growth and promise in their chosen career, contribute in a beneficial way to community and/or society in general, and set a good example in the community. Adyson Jelleberg exemplifies each of these qualities through her dedication to education, leadership, and service.

A 2022 graduate of DCB, Adyson was an inaugural member of the LadyJacks Hockey team for two seasons and participated in numerous student activities during her time on campus. Her enthusiasm, teamwork, and academic excellence made her a standout student and a valued member of the DCB community.

The Golden Service Award is given annually to someone who attended DCB, is at or approaching traditional retirement age, and has had a successful career or exceptional achievement that benefited their community or society. Mack Dewitt’s remarkable career exemplifies the purpose of this award.

As a DCB Alumni, Mack went on to attain a double major in Education and Math/Science Composite from the University of Mary and a master’s in science education from NDSU. His passion for teaching and coaching over the years has allowed him to achieve the goal of helping students and athletes excel and plan for their future.

The Friend of Dakota College at Bottineau Award is presented annually to an individual who, though not necessarily an alumnus, has demonstrated exceptional support for DCB through time, resources, and service that make a lasting impact on the college and community. Brent Moum embodies this spirit through his dedication to Dakota College and his leadership within the Bottineau community.

The event will be Saturday, October 10th, 2026, in the Dakota College at Bottineau gymnasium (Woodshed) in Bottineau. The social will begin at 5:30 pm, with the meal and program to begin at 6:00 pm. Complimentary tickets for the event will be provided for each recipient and a guest. Additional tickets are available for $30 each by contacting Kendra in the Foundation office.
