American Legion Post 42 Donates to Baseball Program

Bottineau American Legion Post 42, CDR Heather Thompson and Harley Getzlaff, present a $1,000.00 check to Mark LaCroix, Dakota College at Bottineau Baseball Coach. Mark states, "We have a great college baseball program because of all the community support and the support of the American Legion."

Seeking Farmers markets & interns for paid marketing internships

The Foundation for Agriculture and Rural Resources Management and Sustainability (FARRMS) will place interns at six ND farmers markets in 2020. FAARMS are currently taking applications from farmers markets who want to host an intern and from potential interns who want to serve a farmers market. Internships are 20 hours per week from June 7, 2020 to October 3, 2020. Interns receive a $160 weekly stipend and weekly training including orientation on May 30, 2020 in Tuttle, ND.

Agriculture Program Makes Strides

The agricultural degree partnership between Dakota College at Bottineau, Lake Region State College, and Williston State College, is finding success in their first year. This collaboration offers courses in Livestock Production, Crop Production, Agribusiness and Specialty Crop Production through delivery formats that include on-campus and distance education. With fall 2020 enrollment underway, interest is increasing with the programs on schedule to double in size.

  • Seth Serhienko

    One thing is certain about Seth Serhienko, he knows numbers and understands them well. So much so, he is currently a member of the Widmer Roel accounting firm in Fargo, which has a great reputation for the work the company does. For Seth, he states that his place at Widmer Roel has a lot to do with Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) and the education he received there.

  • Lauren Lamb

    Bottineau alumnus Lauren Lamb is a successful veterinarian who works as a surgeon in one of the most prestigious animal hospitals in the nation. If one speaks to Lauren about his journey in becoming a veterinarian he will tell you that his start at Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is one of the main reasons he is a vet today.

  • Vanessa Orlando

    Vanessa Orlando knew she wanted to be a nurse after taking aptitude tests as a teenager. “It was clear that I loved science and was good at it, and that I was compassionate and empathetic,” Vanessa said. “So a career in nursing was an ideal choice for me.”
