About Jason

Jason is currently the Human Resource Director at Job Service North Dakota; is the Co-Founder of DisruptHR Bismarck; and is an Online Instructor of Human Resources at Dakota College at Bottineau. Along with his current full-time position, he also serves as the Past State Director of the North Dakota Society for Human Resource Management State Council Director, Government Affairs Chair of the Central Dakota Human Resources Association, and the President Elect of the International Association of Workforce Professionals. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary; a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and Business Administration from North Dakota State University; and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute, Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resource Management, and a Certified Workforce Professional from the International Association of Workforce Professionals. Jason was recognized for his expertise through the 2016 ND SHRM Award for Professional Excellence in Human Resource Management and the 2020 Prairie Business 40 under 40.

His past positions have included the Recruitment and Classification Manager at the North Dakota Department of Transportation; Human Resource Officer at the North Dakota Office of Management and Budget Human Resource Management Services; Human Resource Specialist at Job Service North Dakota; Account Manager and Senior Recruiter at Boden Incorporated; and the Human Resource Coordinator at the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division. In addition to his current paid roles, Jason has volunteered his time on numerous boards, councils, and organizations. Jason grew up in Zap, North Dakota and resides in Bismarck, North Dakota with his wife Andrea, their three children, Anya, Brynlee, & Koy.
