About Jo

A Little About Me:

I have been part of Dakota College at Bottineau’s IT team for the past five years and have transitioned into a faculty role as sUAS Instructor. In this role, I teach courses in small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and technology, continue to provide IT support for the college, and connect with the community through STEM outreach.

I hold an associate degree in Information Technology, a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, Top Operator Level I and II Certificates and advanced soldering certification, I am in my last semester of my bachelors in Cybersecurity and am immediately beginning my Masters of Fine Arts which will be focused on User Interface and Experience Design and Videography. In addition to teaching, I enjoy doing freelance drone and photography/videography work that lets me combine my technical skills with creativity.

When I’m not flying drones, I enjoy photography/videography, gaming, painting and spending time with my husband, our two dogs, and cat.
