About Jo
A Little About Me:
I have been part of Dakota College at Bottineau’s IT team for the past five years and have transitioned into a faculty role as sUAS Instructor. In this role, I teach courses in small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and technology, continue to provide IT support for the college, and connect with the community through STEM outreach.
I hold an associate degree in Information Technology, a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, and advanced soldering certification, and I am currently completing my bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity. In addition to teaching, I enjoy doing freelance drone and photography work that lets me combine my technical skills with creativity.
When I’m not flying drones, I enjoy photography, gaming, and spending time with my husband, our two dogs, and two cats.
Things I can help with:
-
UAS Instructor → Let’s fly, crash (not on purpose), and repair some drones together!
-
IT Support → Your friendly neighborhood Tech Whisperer.
-
Website → Making the internet a little less scary, one page at a time.
-
Duo → Two-step verification, zero-step stress.
-
Printers → Taming the beasts that feast on paper and toner.
