About Heidi
- Allied Health Assistant Professor
A lifelong resident of Willow City, ND, I currently serve as a city councilman and have dedicated my career to education and community service. I was part of the first class at Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) following its transition from MSU-Bottineau in 2009 and earned my Associate of Applied Science in Medical Administrative Assistant in 2011. Inspired by my grandmother, Judy K. Slater—a fellow DCB alumna—I entered the health professions field. In honor of both her and my great-grandmother, the Bertha Kittleson Education & Judy K. Slater Health Professional Memorial Endowment was established. My professional journey began at the Haaland Home in Rugby, where I worked in Activities and became a CNA. Life took be back to DCB, and I was employed by DCB for over 15 years in various roles. I have been faculty since 2014. I earned a Bachelor’s in Career and Technical Education from Valley City State University in 2017. I am committed to helping students achieve their goals while emphasizing compassionate care and strong customer service.
