DCB Announces New Athletic Director

dandavis190x190.jpgAs a result of the recent resignation of Brandon Colvin, DCB Athletic Director and Basketball Coach at Dakota College at Bottineau, Jerry Migler, Campus Dean, has announced the appointment of Dan Davis as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.  Davis has been at Dakota College since 2013 and currently serves as the Associate Dean of Student Services.

Davis has a Master of Arts degree in Education, with a Concentration in Sport and Recreation Management, from Chadron State College.  He has a Bachelor in Arts degree from Olivet College. 

Davis brings 25 years of collegiate and high school teaching, coaching and administrative experience to the position.  Prior to coming to DCB, he served as a head football coach at Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania and as an assistant football coach at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois and at the high school level in Logan, Utah. 

Davis is committed to the academic success of student athletes.  He has been at several colleges in which his teams saw major improvements in their overall team grade point averages.  Davis believes that “the number one priority for our program will be academics.  We will work hard on the practice field, but we will also make sure that our athletes have adequate time and support in the area of academics.”
