Dakota College at Bottineau Course Syllabus Student Email Policy Dakota College at Bottineau sends official communications to students at their campus-assigned email address and not to other email addresses. Students will not receive information the college sends if they do not check their DCB email or do not forward their email to a provider they prefer. Course Prefix/Number/Title ENGL 211 Introduction to Creative Writing (3CR); Prerequisite: ENGL 110 Course Description Guided practice of writing skills related to the imaginative uses of language. Course Objectives Students will learn to find and develop ideas and images to start written works of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and plays. Students will learn to recognize linguistic variety in English. Students will learn revision techniques to revise and complete short forms of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and plays. Students will learn to read and analyze published poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and plays to continue lifelong learning.
