Spring 2019 Course Syllabi

Classroom Policies: Class attendance is strongly advised! Landscape Design is a hands-on learning experience. If you do not participate, you cannot learn. If you must miss class for any reason, you are encouraged to make arrangements with the instructor prior to the missed class. Any course work turned in late will not receive full credit! Academic Integrity : Students are expected to do their own work. Copying someone else’s designs only hurts you as you prepare to enter the work force. If a design or project can be proven to be copied or completed by someone other than the student, it will receive a failing grade. Disabilities and Special Needs: Please notify me with in the first week of class of any needs due to a disability or special need. Student Email Policy: Dakota College at Bottineau is increasingly dependent upon email as an official form of communication. I am available via email and phone to answer questions anytime during the semester. A student’s campus-assigned email address will be the only one recognized by the campus for official mailings. The liability for missing or not acting upon important information conveyed via campus email rests with the student. Students will receive emails notifying them of changes to course work, meeting locations, or changes due to weather. Please be sure to check your emails regularly for updates to course information. Relationship to Campus Theme: All Aspects of Horticulture develop a student’s appreciation for nature and the materials that Mother Nature and Technology have provided us to create with. Because of this we as horticulturists have the ability to make the world a more beautiful place in which to live and work.
