Final letter grades assigned based on the following criteria: A= 89.5 - 100% B= 79.5 - 89.4% C= 69.5 - 79.4% D= 59.5 - 69.4% F= 0 - 59.4% Tentative Course Outline: Schedule subject to change depending on guest speaker availability Week 1: 8-21 Introduction, Class Schedule, Syllabus Week 2: 8-28 Life is Why, Adult CPR Week 3: 9-4 Adult CPR Continued, AED use Week 4: 9-11 Nalox, Choking, Review Week 5: 9-18 Child CPR & AED use Week 6: 9-25 Infant CPR Week 7: 10-2 Review all CPR/AED skills Week 8: 10-9 Medical Emergencies Week 9: 10-16 Medical Emergencies Week 10: 10-23 Injury Emergencies Week 11: 10-30 NO CLASS Week 12: 11-6 Injury/Environmental Emergencies Week 13: 11-13 Environmental Emergencies Week 14: 11-20 Review Week 15: 11-27 Final: written, hands-on Week 16: 12-4 Final: hands-on Classroom Policies: 1. Cell phones, iPods, and related technology use NOT allowed in the classroom. 2. Beverages permitted in accordance with Dakota College at Bottineau classroom policy. 3. Be respectful of other students, technicians, instructors, and guests. 4. The instructor reserves the right to ask any student disregarding these policies to leave the class for that day or longer, if there is a continuous disregard for classroom policies.
