Branching Out Spring 2019

FROM THE ALUMNI PRESIDENT VONDA BERG, ’77 DCB Alumni President The 2019 spring semester at DCB is winding down. Graduation is May 10th. The class of 2019 will become the newest members of the alumni association. Good Luck to all graduates! The alumni association again presented academic scholarships to returning DCB students for Fall semester 2018 and Spring semester 2019, following our typical scholarship awarding process. A new scholarship opportunity has recently presented itself through Challenge Grant matching funds for donations raised by the Alumni. The Alumni board would like to award 15 Challenge Grant Scholarships a year. These scholarships would also be given to returning students with high academic records on a first come-first served basis. DCB has a new website up and running. Click on the Alumni tab, and you will find information on donating to the Alumni, Alumni Dues, the Phonathon, Fair Gates Project and our annual Knight for APrincess. You will also find the nomination forms for our Alumni Awards and information on making a Memorial gift. All alumni are always welcome to our monthly board meetings and our annual meeting which will be held in August 2019. The board always appreciates feedback and suggestions from anyone interested. If you have questions on any alumni events, meeting dates, scholarships, etc. please don’t hesitate to contact the Foundation office at 701-228-5613. On behalf of myself and the entire DCB Alumni Board, I want to welcome Leslie Stevens on board as our new Foundation Director. And regretfully we say good-bye to Kayla Wolfe who has been the Events Coordinator for the past seven years. Thanks to the Foundation and Dr. Migler for their support. I am very grateful to the DCB faculty and staff, residents of Bottineau and the surrounding area and especially alumni for their continued support of the DCB Alumni Association. 2019 ANNUAL WINE WALK HIGHLIGHTS BRANCHING OUT SPR ING 201 9 | 3
