Dakota College Course Syllabus Course Prefix/Number/Title: Records Management – BOTE 217 Credits: 3 Course Description: A study of the systematic control of business records through manual an electronic applications. Records creation, distribution, utilization, retention, storage, protection, preservation and final disposition are discussed. Materials presented conform to ARMA. Course Objectives: First, the student will display a working knowledge of proper records management procedures. Secondly, the student will be able to effectively manage information and records in an office environment and lastly students will have an understanding of the use of Automated Records Systems.
