JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include assisting students, who are actively engaged in farming/ranching, in developing sound farm financial and production records, creating cash flow projections and completing a farm/ranch business analysis.  Responsibilities also include teaching and enrolling students.  Instruction of students is primarily done on a one-to-one basis.  Student advisement, commitment to a collegial working environment, curriculum development, outcomes assessment, institutional committee work, and community service and outreach are inherent to the position.  The office for this position will be in Stanley, ND.

 

QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor’s degree in the field of agriculture or related field or a Bachelor’s degree and other appropriate work experience.  Must be willing to be trained in using FINPACK software. QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: 

·         Experience teaching farm management

·         Experience in agriculture finance such as agricultural loan officer

·         Three or more years of agriculture/agribusiness experience

·         Appropriate master’s degree

·         Documented successful teaching experience

 

Compensation:  10 to 11 month (negotiable), full-time, benefited position.  Salary based on experience and education.  Retirement plan and full coverage for family health insurance.

Physical Plant Director

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of the Physical Plant is responsible for the supervision, direction, and maintenance of the college physical plant operations and activities which involve: custodial services, building repair and maintenance, HVAC and mechanical systems, remodeling, grounds maintenance, institutional keys, maintenance of all vehicles, energy conservation programs, all construction projects, and liaison relationships with other agencies and the community.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Associate’s Degree in a related applicable area with knowledge of physical plant operations and maintenance, and capital construction (years of experience may be substituted for degree). Additional skills required are the ability to multi task, manage departmental budgets, supervise employees, and develop effective interpersonal relationships with departmental and college staff.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Previous physical plant management experience in an educational institution or comparable facility.  Knowledge of the application of State of North Dakota regulations, policies and procedures.

POSITION: Adjunct Nursing Instructor (Limited Part-time/Laboratory and Clinical)

LOCATION:Dakota College at Bottineau distance sites in Bottineau, Minot and Valley City.

TYPE OF APPONTMENT: This is a limited part-time/PRN position during fall, spring and summer terms.

JOB SUMMARY:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking limited part-time/PRN instructors to assist with clinical courses to undergraduate students in the practical nursing and associate degree nursing programs. The persons selected for the position will be responsible for planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluating of student learning in the laboratory and clinical setting. This person will also be responsible for nursing skills assessment, course instruction, course assessment, and clinical supervision.  This position requires strong organizational skills, technical and professional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Requirements:  A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required to teach lab and clinical courses in the Practical Nursing program. A Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related area, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the master's degree program within three years is required to teach lab and clinical courses in the Associate Degree Nurse program.

SALARY/BENEFITS:  Competitive salary based on education and experience.

Events & Administrative Coordinator - DCB Foundation

Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Events Coordinator. Under the general direction of the Foundation Director, this position coordinates and organizes Foundation, Logrollers and Alumni fundraisers and programs designed to foster and strengthen the relationship between the college, community, and its alumni. This position fully supports the DCB Foundation office.

Other responsibilities include maintaining the Raiser’s Edge database of donors and alumni, accounting tasks, processing mail, donations, and correspondence daily.  Assists with volunteer recruitment and promotion. Requires a flexible work schedule that includes occasional evenings and weekends when events are held.

Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience include:

  • Associates degree preferred in business administration, accounting or related area, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Foundation Office.
