Farm/Ranch Business Management Instructor – Northwest ND

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include assisting students, who are actively engaged in farming/ranching, in developing sound farm financial and production records, creating cash flow projections and completing a farm/ranch business analysis.  Responsibilities also include teaching and enrolling students.  Instruction of students is primarily done on a one-to-one basis.  Student advisement, commitment to a collegial working environment, curriculum development, outcomes assessment, institutional committee work, and community service and outreach are inherent to the position.  The office for this position will be in Stanley, ND.

QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor’s degree in the field of agriculture or related field or a Bachelor’s degree and other appropriate work experience.  Must be willing to be trained in using FINPACK software. QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: 

  • Experience teaching farm management
  • Experience in agriculture finance such as agricultural loan officer
  • Three or more years of agriculture/agribusiness experience
  • Proficiency with FINPACK, Excel and one or more farm accounting software programs
  • Appropriate master’s degree
  • Documented successful teaching experience

Compensation:  10 to 11 month (negotiable), full-time, benefited position.  Salary based on experience and education.  Retirement plan and full coverage for family health insurance.

POSITION: Adjunct Nursing Instructor (Part-time/Laboratory and Clinical)

LOCATION:Dakota College at Bottineau  sites in Bottineau, Minot and Valley City.

TYPE OF APPONTMENT: This is a  part-time position during fall, spring and summer terms.

JOB SUMMARY:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking part-time instructors to assist with clinical courses to undergraduate students in the practical nursing and associate degree nursing programs. The persons selected for the position will be responsible for planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluating of student learning in the laboratory and clinical setting. This person will also be responsible for nursing skills assessment, course instruction, course assessment, and clinical supervision.  This position requires strong organizational skills, technical and professional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

♦       Minimum Requirements:  A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required to teach lab and clinical courses in the Practical Nursing program. A Master of Science Nursing, Nursing Education, or related area, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the master's degree program within three years is required to teach lab and clinical courses in the Associate Degree Nurse program.

Specific skills:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking applicants for a Head Women's Basketball Coach.  DCB Basketball competes at the NJCAA Division II level and is a member of the Mon-Dak Conference.  Major responsibilities for this position include demonstrating competency in sport skill instruction, conducting practice sessions, managing the program's budget, and conducting extensive recruiting.  A sincere interest in the personal academic and athletic progress of student-athletes is required.  The successful candidate will also demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes, college staff and the public.  Dependent on an applicant's education and experience, there is the potential to have this position paired with additional campus duties to create full-time employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to build and maintain working relationships with college students.  Ability to travel and work a varied schedule.  Playing and/or coaching experience preferred.

DATE AVAILABLE:  July 1, 2022; potential for start date to be earlier for recruiting.
