What made you decide to attend Dakota College at Bottineau?
When I visited the college and went on the tour, I instantly loved the size of the school and the friendly people I saw walking through the halls and different buildings.
How did you first hear about Dakota College at Bottineau?
One of my high school teachers attended the school and he told me I should check it out because it’s a great school.
What is your favorite part of learning on a smaller campus?
I love the one-on-one attention that the professors give their students. Whenever you need to talk to a professor, he or she is usually very easy to find.
Why did you decide to attend a two-year college verses a four-year?
I wanted to start small and get comfortable with being away from home for the first time.
What do you think is the best part about DCB?
You get to know everyone so easily because classes are small. Everyone hangs out together and the campus is small so it’s easy to get from point A to point B.
What is DCB's “best-kept-secret” that no one ever told you about and you absolutely love?
The atmosphere! I didn’t know until I got here that DCB’s atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming! All the faculty and staff always have smiles on their faces. :)
How do you feel about the small classroom sizes?
Absolutely love the classroom sizes! I feel that the professor is personally teaching me and not everyone. I feel comfortable asking questions, which I wouldn’t feel in a bigger class.
What is one thing you would like to tell a prospective student about DCB?
That the cafeteria food can sometimes be “interesting” but overall a great way to experience new foods.
If you attend athletic events, what do you think of the game/crowd?
I love school spirit. I feel that everyone gets involved, from what I can tell DCB’s student athletes show great sportsmanship on and off the field/court/ice.
If you PLAY sports, what made you choose DCB?
I chose to play softball. I found the coaches to be super nice and helpful. I chose to play softball here because I thought it would be a smooth transition out of high school.
What's your favorite part of living in the dorm?
Being able to walk inside to see my friends. I love being able to leave my door open for anyone to visit but when I need to hit the books, I have my own space simply closing and locking my door.
What do you like best about your program?
The classes I get to take are awesome. I haven’t taken a class yet that I didn’t enjoy!
What was your favorite on-campus activity?
It’s hard to choose one activity because basically every activity on campus is fun and gets everyone involved.
DCB is a great school and I wish I could stay here for the rest of my undergrad years! :)
