
The one-year Urban Forestry Technology Diploma program prepares students for careers in the tree care industry. The program also gives current tree care workers the knowledge and skills needed for advancement. Instructional components include tree identification, tree and turf care, soil science, and disorder diagnosis. Students also learn skills to solve tree related problems. Topics like tree worker skills, turf/landscape equipment, pest management, and design practices are covered. The program instills an awareness of the role of forestry in all aspects of history and modern life.
