Caregiver Services - Diploma (Adult Option)

The one-year Caregiver Services diploma program prepares students to work in the direct care industry. Students are prepared to provide care for adults who are elderly, individuals with disabled, and others with health concerns. Caregivers may be self-employed agents or employees of nursing homes, adult daycare centers, and home health agencies. Some caregivers work as in-home care specialists, providing personal care for clients or respite care for families thereby allowing the elderly or disabled to remain in their home.

This program delivers all coursework online, thereby allowing individuals to continue working throughout the program. Federal financial aid is available to those who qualify.

Curriculum: The program curriculum is listed below. The following core courses must be taken before participating in GERO240: NURS100 and GERO180. Begin with NURS100 and GERO180 early in your program.
