What made you decide to attend Dakota College at Bottineau?
I chose to attend DCB because I knew I wanted to play college basketball and I really liked Coach Johnson. I also knew two girls from Mohall who attend school here and they had all good things to say about DCB.
How did you first hear about Dakota College at Bottineau?
Allison Scherr and Kate Helgeson from my high school both went here and played two sports each.
What is your favorite part of learning on a smaller campus?
My favorite part is that almost all professors are very helpful and friendly. I also like that they get to know you by your first name, not just another face in the class.
Why did you decide to attend a two-year college verses a four-year?
I wanted to go to a two-year first because I donít have a major chosen yet and thought it would be a good place to start with generals. Also, I wanted to keep playing sports and this was also a great place to start.
What do you think is the best part about DCB?
I really like that I know mostly everyone and it feels kind of like family, especially when it comes to athletic events.
What is DCBs “best-kept-secret” that no one ever told you about and you absolutely love?
I love going in the sauna and I didnít know there was one right away!
How do you feel about the small classroom sizes?
I personally love the small classrooms because I feel like I can work one-on-one if needed. I feel comfortable in most classes because I know everyone.
If you attend athletic events, what do you think of the game/crowd?
I love the atmosphere of our gym because our students get really into it. Itís loud and fun.
If you PLAY sports, what made you choose DCB?
Coach J was the first to call me to play and I really liked him. I also liked that for these first two years, my family would be able to come and watch all my games.
What’s your favorite part of living in the dorms?
I like the dorms because it helped me meet people and my friends are just down the hall so we can hangout whenever. I really like having a single room.
What was your favorite on-campus activity?
Besides basketball, intramurals are fun or anything in the gym really.
