JOB DESCRIPTION: 

This position will report to the Campus Dean and will be responsible for identifying, researching, and writing external grant proposals to secure government and private funding to support DCB’s mission, priorities and goals.  A portion of the duties assigned to this position will focus on advancing DCB’s Entrepreneurial Center for Horticulture (ECH).

QUALIFICATIONS Required:

Appropriate bachelor’s degree; grant writing experience; strategic thinking and planning skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong written, oral, and listening skills; ability to organize and meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal skills; proficiency in computer software and keyboarding.

QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: 

Three years successful grant writing experience; master’s degree or evidence of intention to earn a master’s degree in three years.

Compensation:  12 month, full-time, benefited position.  Salary based on experience and education.  Retirement plan and full coverage for family health insurance.

STARTING DATE: Negotiable, but ideally by March 15, 2018.

Farm/Ranch Business Management Instructor

10 to 11 month full-time, benefited position, Rugby, ND

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include assisting students, who are actively engaged in farming/ranching, in developing sound farm financial and production records, creating cash flow projections and completing a farm/ranch business analysis.  Responsibilities also include teaching and enrolling students.  Instruction of students is primarily done on a one-to-one basis.  Student advisement, commitment to a collegial working environment, curriculum development, outcomes assessment, institutional committee work, and community service and outreach are inherent to the position.  The office for this position is located in Rugby, ND

QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor’s degree in the field of agriculture or related field or a Bachelor’s degree and other appropriate work experience.  Must be willing to be trained in using FINPACK software. QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: 

  • Experience teaching farm management
  • Experience in agriculture finance such as agricultural loan officer
  • Three or more years of agriculture/agribusiness experience
  • Proficiency with FINPACK, Excel and one or more farm accounting software programs
  • Appropriate master’s degree
  • Documented successful teaching experience

Head Volleyball/Softball Coach and Sports Information Director

10-month, full-time, benefited position.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Dakota College at Bottineau is seeking applicants for a Head Volleyball/Softball Coach and Sports Information Director (SID).  Volleyball competes at the NJCAA Division II level while Softball plays as a NJCAA Division III (non-athletic scholarship) member at DCB.  Both programs are members of the Mon-Dak Conference.  Responsibilities for this position include demonstrating competency in sport skill instruction, motivation and ability to conduct practice sessions, and extensive recruiting duties for both sports.  The candidate must demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic and athletic progress of student-athletes.  They will also exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior for goals set by head coach.  The successful candidate will also demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes.  As the SID at DCB, the candidate is expected to attend all athletic contests, keep game statistics, upload statistics to Presto website, and write press releases for all sports including game previews, recaps, human interest stories, important events, etc.  

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to build and maintain working relationships with college students.  Ability to travel and work a varied schedule.  Playing and or coaching experience preferred.  Ability to perform SID duties for a small, two-year college.

Associate Degree Nurse Faculty

JOB SUMMARY:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking an instructor to teach courses in its nursing program to undergraduate students in practical nursing and associate degree nursing programs. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of student learning experiences in the classroom and clinical areas with nursing students enrolled in the Dakota Nursing Program

Responsible for curriculum including online, selection of course materials, monitoring program progress, supervising part-time nursing instructors, nursing skills assessment, course instruction, course assessment, and clinical supervision.  This position requires organizational skills, technical and professional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Requirements:  Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related area, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the master's degree program within three years

SALARY:  Competitive salary based on education and experience.
