Steps to Graduate
Below are the steps to graduate. Various applications and guides mentioned can be downloaded for use through the Graduation Resources section at bottom of this page.
Step 1: File an Application for Graduation with the DCB Student Services Office
Dakota College at Bottineau students on the Minot State University campus must apply for graduation with DCB in order to earn their diploma. Application for Graduation must be filed with the DCB Student Services Office by the semester deadlines listed below. All students filing an application after the deadline will have to pay a $10 late-application fee to DCB.
Applicants who applied for graduation in a previous term but didn't graduate must file a new application for graduation with the college. All late fees and rules still apply.
Fall 2013 deadline: November 15, 2013
Spring 2014 deadline: March 1, 2014
Summer 2014 deadline: March 1, 2014 (for those intending to participate in graduation ceremony)
The Application for Graduation is available through Russ Gagnon, Minot Programs Director, or can be downloaded below in the Graduation Resources Center.
Step 2: Make Your Intent to Walk in the Ceremony Known
Dakota College at Bottineau students on the Minot State University campus may participate in the MSU graduation ceremony. All gown, cap, tassel orders and other such purchases will be made through the Minot State University bookstore. Students participating in Minot's ceremony will observe all commencement rules and deadlines placed forth by MSU.
Please note: DCB students on Minot's campus must state their intention to participate in MSU's graduation ceremony by March 1, 2014.

DCB students on the Minot campus can also choose to participate at the DCB graduation in Bottineau, ND. Students choosing this option must contact the DCB graduation coordinator prior to March 1 to make aware their intent.
