Course Description: Review of mathematical fundamentals with emphasis on business applications and problem solving.
Schedule: Fall and spring semesters. This course follows the traditional on-campus schedule for beginning and ending dates.
Delivery Method: Online. Students are not expected to come to the campus at any time.

Course Objectives: It is expected that students will be able to:
- Develop a better understanding of numbers
- Demonstrate appropriate pricing methods

Demonstrate methods and procedures for effective control and utilization of interest and credit charges
- Explain and calculate taxes
- Identify factors to be considered in business finance
Work Expectations:
- Self-tests: Each chapter has an online self-test that students can complete for practice. Self-tests are not graded. They are designed to give students immediate feedback as to the correctness of their answers.
- Practice: Each chapter will have a practice assignment worth 15 points. There is no time limit for taking the practice and students complete the same assignment multiple times. Only the highest score on a practice exercise will be used in calculating the final grade. Students must earn a 50% or better on a practice exercise before taking the related quiz.
Exams - Policies & Procedures:
- Tests cover four chapters of material and are scheduled every two weeks.
- Each test has between 20 and 30 questions and is worth 60 points.
- Tests are open for only a few designated days.
- Once the student starts a test, it must be completed within a 60 minute time period.
- Tests can be taken on any computer with Internet access.
- Students need to set up or select an environment conducive for testing.
