Course Description: This course is designed to prepare the student for the national RMT (registered medical transcriptionist) certification examination offered by AHDI (Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity).
This course consists of 24 chapters of practice assignments and quizzes in preparation for the RMT examination. Medical specialities consist of 18 chapters. English language review covers 3 chapters. Mediolegal issues comprise 1 chapter. There are also 6 appendicies of other important information to review for the examination.
Schedule: Fall, Spring, and Summer. This course is offered in 8-week sessions, three times during the year once per semester.
Delivery Method: Online. Students are not expected to come to the campus at any time.
Prerequisite Courses: AH 225, AH 226, AH 227, AH 229, AH 230 or Instructor/Advisor approval.
